EURONAV M RNM
EuroAvionics is proud to present a new navigation equipment family especially tailored to the needs for military high-end applications. The RNM is the main component and is developed to reach a high-modularity grade without any performance restrictions. The concept of modularity is accomplished by using the standardized CompactPCI bus system. The RNM disposes two separate CompactPCI slots, an additional slot can be used to integrate a GPS-receiver carrier card. The internal architecture disposes two CompactPCI mainboards for a break-through performance with an intelligent division between interface data management and an autonomous video real-time recorder. Both CompactPCI cards are cross-linked via a gigabit-ethernet interface.  The navigation and data management software TIS (Terminal Information System) is stored on shock and temperature impassibly Flash hard-drives (capacity up to 2 x132GB; optional), which can easily be changed. The RNM supplies a maintenance data interface, which checks and monitors the system permanently and in case of an error, transmitting parameters and information about the defect assembly for an easy replacement (LRA) to reduce maintenance costs.

EURONAV M TIS (Terminal Information System)

After the evaluation by a demonstrator, the concept for commanding a tactical manoeuvre of a helicopter patrol is on its way to become reality.  The Terminal Information System (TIS) is realised by EuroAvionics, a German SMB, which is specialized in navigation and mapping systems for the aeronautical sector. This company mainly offers the so-called EuroNav© product line for helicopters, which has been sold more than 450 times in more than 20 countries to its armies, marines, customs, polices, national securities, …  Being the last chain link within the hierarchy of a digitized battle field, the TIS serves as a terminal information system for helicopters of the French Army. Its purpose is to supply the patrol leader with help functions for battle orders. Therefore the TIS disposes of tools to help executing or analyzing tactical situations.   - A real time 3D view allows a battle field overview
- Voice control
- Communication by transmission of data and in particular of friend or foe positions
- Intervisibility
- Interfacing board sensors (sight head Viviane…)

It additionally offers auxiliary capacities for flight management due to mapping and management tools for 2D and 3D navigations. About a hundred Gazelles Viviane and AATCP will be equipped with the TIS, but it can also be integrated into Cougar AS 532, Cougar Horizon as well as EC 725, which recently have been acquired by the ALAT. Supplementing the TIS, EuroAvionics is also assigned with the development of the C2 helicopter for ALAT. This C2 helicopter will provide combat helicopters such as PUMA and COUGAR with air-ground command workstations using a kit which can be integrated into aircrafts without modifying it.  The first integration into a Gazelle Viviane is just being held and first flights will take place in July.
