Switch Box SBN-3.8

The DZUS compatible Switch Box SBN-3.8 is an optional equipment for the EuroNav system to provide several features in one device. In order to provide an optimal performance it is recommended to install the Switch Box SBN-3.8 between the Digital Map Generator and Control Unit / Display. With the Switch Box the system can be easily switched on / off via the power switch on the front of the device. The keyboard and monitor output offers the possibility to connect further devices to the system without changing the wiring. If EuroAvionics displays are connected their brightness can be controlled via the 2 controllers BRT1 and BRT2. The BRT1 controls the display connected to the OUT interface, the BRT2 the MON output. A further feature is the integrated single PCMCIA drive, which is protected by the metallic front plate. This drive can be used to save flight information e.g. flight records, missions or to transfer data from a personal computer to the Digital Map Generator in case of any updates. The Switch Box can easily be installed and exchanged for maintenance (if required) by means of DZUS fasteners.

Switch Box  SBN-4.8

The DZUS compatible Switch Box SBN-4.8 is an optional equipment to provide a single PCMCIA drive in a cockpit. The Switch Box can be used to save flight information e.g. flight records, missions or to transfer data from a personal computer to the Digital Map Generator in case of any updates. Furthermore, the Switch Box provides a keyboard interface e.g. for system services or setups. This port is protected by the metallic front plate. The Switch Box can easily be installed and exchanged for maintenance (if required) by means of DZUS fasteners.

Tray HNR-4.0 / HNR-5.0

The 1/4 ATR compatible tray HNR-4.0 is used for mounting of one RN6. For the tray and the mounted RN6 no dampers are required as the unit will be installed hardmounted.  The 1/2 ATR compatible tray HNR-5.0 is used for mounting of two RN6. For the tray and the two mounted RN6 no dampers are required as the units will be installed hardmounted.

HDS

The HDS is an external hard-disk drive for fast data transfer / uploads via USB or Firewire between the EuroNav system and a PC / Laptop. It is designed to adapt the different types of EuroNav hard-disks without dismounting the slots. Each EuroNav system uses specialized slots for the 2,5” hard-disk drives for insertion into the Digital Map Generator (DMG). The HDS offers the possibility to insert Hard-Disk slots compatible with the EuroNav III system (RN4/RN5) as well as the slots that operate in a EuroNav IV/V (RN6 family).

 

 

Control Unit CLN14-1.8

The DZUS compatible Control Unit CLN14-1.8 is an essential component for the EuroNav system and should be included in every EuroNav installation. It provides 14-keys to control all software functions provided by the EuroNav Equipment software. The buttons are placed ergonomically and logical for easy use. Furthermore, the buttons are illuminated and dimmable via the Central Cockpit Dimming. The Control Unit can easily be installed and exchanged for maintenance (if required) by means of DZUS fasteners.

The DZUS compatible Control Unit CLN14-2.0 / CLN14-3.0 is an essential component for the EuroNav system and should be included in every EuroNav installation. It provides 14-keys to control all software functions provided by the EuroNav equipment software. The buttons are placed ergonomically and logical for easy use. Furthermore, the buttons are illuminated and NVG-compatible in accordance with the standards RTCA-DO-275 / MIL-STD-3009 and are dimmable via the Central Cockpit Dimming. The Control Unit can easily be installed and exchanged for maintenance (if required) by means of DZUS fasteners.

This component is required if a camera is installed. It provides pitch, heading and roll of the helicopter to generate the camera footprint on the moving map.

GSM Module

The GSM module allows data communication based on a GSM link. Messages can be sent and objects equipped with this module can be tracked on the moving map.

EuroNav IV Keyboard

The mini-keyboard CLATMN-1.4 is an additional device for the EuroNav Digital Map System (DMS). The DMS can be controlled via Control Unit (CLN), which is usually included, and also via mini-keyboard. In many cases the mini-keyboard minimizes the effort of handling the system e.g. if many waypoints or text strings are to be entered into the system.The mini-keyboard is available in different keyboard layouts and assembled connector types depending on to which EuroNav component it will be connected to. In order to prevent an unintentionally pressing of a button, the EuroNav system software can lock / unlock a connected keyboard via a key combination pressed on the keyboard.
